Director/Producer/Co-Writer Amy Jo Goddard is a writer, professional sexuality educator, artist and activist. She has been a Gynecological Teaching Associate in New York City for the last seven years. She teaches health and sexuality at the City University of New York, and has been a visiting professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies. She earned her Master’s degree in Human Sexuality Education at New York University and studied film and video at New S …view more w School University. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and recently graduated as a Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner where she continues her work promoting women’s reproductive freedoms as a midwife in Arizona. Prior to midwifery, she was a Project Co-director at the Urban Justice Center’s Human Rights Project where she developed and coordinated social and economic human rights initiatives in the United Sates. During this time Julie also worked as a New York City GTA during which she conceived of the idea for At Your Cervix. In addition to co-writing and co-producing the documentary, Julie tells her story as a midwifery student for the film. She has written and directed numerous shorts, and At Your Cervix is her first feature. www.atyourcerv
