Misnomer Dance Theater is an international contemporary dance company. Our show was named by the New York Times as one of the Top Ten Dance Performances in NYC for 2006. Visit us at www.misnomer.org I have been choreographing non-stop since I was 14, and have engaged in dance performances across the USA and abroad. Recent interdisciplinary projects have included choreographing Bjork's new video and collaborating with the Danish Dance Theatre. My work has recently been featured by Apple Comput…moreers and the Sundance Channel, and my company has just completed a residency with the Baryshnikov Dance Foundation. In addition to my art work, I have a background in Computer Science and Public Policy, which is why I am so dedicated to developing ways to help the performing arts make better use of web technologies while providing more exciting ways for online audiences to experience both the art and creative process. My online initiatives have received a lot of response so far, including features in 2007 by Business Week Magazine, the Business Section of the New York Times, and Dance Magazine. Given my background in dance, technology, and advocacy, I have both the desire, perspective, and experience to work effectively at realizing my Ideablob project and developing these and other tools into a fully-developed system of support.
