I've been blessed with a great life! My hope is to have the resources to really give back. As a kid, my parents dedicated their lives - working out of our basement - to strengthening families (including six ceremonies at the White House and a nationwide program). They never made any money, but they did a lot of good and got their 6 children off to a great start. Thanks to them, my own rewarding experiences include: * Being awarded a "Points of Light" award - signed by Presid …view more nt Bush in 1991 for developing a "Handi-Capable Week" at the university I was attending at the time. (So much fun!) * A bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy and Youth Leadership * A mission to Argentina * Work as a therapist at Camarillo State Hospital-DC a mental health hospital where I was given the "Woman of the Year Award" - (Incidentally, my boss - a man was a joint recipient that year. Don't ask! I don't know ;-) * I've always had "Techno Drool" so when the hospital got new computers for everybody; I started teaching free classes on my lunch hour. I had such a good time with this, that when the hospital closed, I started my own company dedicated to helping others use their computers more effectively. * This has lead to the development of TreasureBooking Studios. My partner, Christina and I have been developing the concept for years now, but haven't gone beyond work out of the home because my husband and I adopted a beautiful girl on Christmas Eve and I've focused on raising her. Now, however, she's in school full-time and I feel like a bronc in a stall - ready to go! Currently, I serve as a den leader for the Cub Scouts, work on the school PTO and as the Class Mom for my daughter's class). We have one more member of our family - a three-legged kitty named "Eileen" (if you say it out loud, you'll get it . . .)
