Jeffrey Hollender Featured as ideablob.com Guest Advisor

What:        Jeffrey Hollender, President and Chief Inspired Protagonist of Seventh Generation, makers of environmentally safe cleaning products, is a well-respected leader in the socially aware and environmentally responsible business communities. He will be sharing his expertise as ideablob.com’s featured guest advisor during the week of July 21, 2008.

Who:         Hollender is an entrepreneur at heart and has developed Seventh Generation into the leading brand of green cleaners, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, diapers, baby wipes, tampons, recycled toilet paper, tissues and paper towels.

Hollender’s first business ventures were not-for-profit organizations rooted in adult education. The Skills Exchange of Toronto was a learning exchange that offered practical and professional development classes, and the Network for Learning was an adult education and audio-publishing company in New York City.

Later in his career Hollender served as President of Warner Audio Publishing, after which he acquired Renew America, a small mail order catalog of energy conservation products. This catalog eventually blossomed into Seventh Generation.

His blog, Inspired Protagonist, is a closely followed resource and guide for spotlighting socially responsible business practices and principles on the global stage.

When:       During the week of July 21, Hollender will be available to provide expert advice on social and environmental responsibility, business ventures that incorporate these ideas, and how these types of companies can be successful.

Why:         Ideablob.com is a vibrant and active community where small business owners and entrepreneurs are sharing business ideas in exchange for feedback, advice and votes from the community.

Advanta, one of the nation’s largest credit card issuers (through Advanta Bank Corp.) in the small business market, awards a $10,000 monthly prize to the best eligible idea, as determined by the votes of the ideablob community.

This is a great opportunity for business owners and entrepreneurs to pose serious business questions to a seasoned professional. It’s just one example of the innovative ways that ideablob and Advanta are helping small business owners and entrepreneurs realize their dreams.

Jeffery, The biggest concern I have with my idea is the waste from packaging. What does your company do to curb this? Thanks!
