Bhatt’s initiative, Dream Village, is a series of children’s books that describe the true stories of kids who have overcome environmental, economic or social challenges. Each story aims to raise awareness about under-privileged children around the world.

December 2007 ideablob Winner Receives Grant to Fund and Expand His Idea

In December 2007, Chris Elam won $10,000 on ideablob.com for his idea to develop free downloadable tools to help performing artists draw audiences online. Nearly one year later, Chris’s company, Misnomer Dance Theater, is one of 10 arts organizations from around the country selected to pilot the Leading for the Future: Innovative Support for Artistic Excellence program. The program will help fund Misnomer’s Audience Engagement Platform – a website and software system of tools designed to increase visibility, exposure and financial support for arts organizations, and to introduce arts to a wide range of new audiences.

Daewoo Park is Guest Advisor

We are pleased to introduce Dr. Daewoo Park as ideablob.com’s guest advisor for the week of October 27, 2008.  Dr. Park is the Director for the Xavier Entrepreneurship Center in the Williams College of Business. He is the College's D.J. O’Conor Fellow and has taught entrepreneurship, management and strategy courses for undergraduate, MBA and executive MBA students.

Dr. Park has published his research in numerous entrepreneurship journals such as the Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Small Business Strategy, and Journal of Management and Enterprise Development, as well as in prestigious strategy and management journals including the Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Research, Management International Review, Multinational Business Review and Thunderbird International Business Review. He has served as a guest editor for several management journals, and his research was supported by the U.S. Department of Education (CIBER research fellowship) and numerous foundations.

According to Dr. Park, he taught the only online simulation-based MBA capstone strategy course among the Jesuit colleges, has managed the annual high school business simulation competitions on campus, and implemented the College's undergraduate simulation competitions. In 2008, he successfully designed and led the college’s MBA study tour to Korea and Japan.
