Bhatt’s initiative, Dream Village, is a series of children’s books that describe the true stories of kids who have overcome environmental, economic or social challenges. Each story aims to raise awareness about under-privileged children around the world.
December 2007 ideablob Winner Receives Grant to Fund and Expand His IdeaIn December 2007, Chris Elam won $10,000 on ideablob.com for his idea to develop free downloadable tools to help performing artists draw audiences online. Nearly one year later, Chris’s company, Misnomer Dance Theater, is one of 10 arts organizations from around the country selected to pilot the Leading for the Future: Innovative Support for Artistic Excellence program. The program will help fund Misnomer’s Audience Engagement Platform – a website and software system of tools designed to increase visibility, exposure and financial support for arts organizations, and to introduce arts to a wide range of new audiences.
