Votester: a new online political party (Kinda like Ideabl...

Votester politicians promise to support (vote for) policies based on polls of their constituents. The Votester online community keeps track of how well politicians follow the wishes of the populace, and has an online forum and polls for every decisions elected officials make.

Votester candidates have a platform of issues, say, pro-choice and anti gun-control, or a Democratic platform, where they will always vote their conscience, but for all other issues, their conscience tells them to follow the polls of their constituents.

If Votester politicians don't follow the dictates of the polls, they risk losing the next Votester primary. Better representatives and more electable politicians!

Douglas rushkoff talked about the new media president in on of his speaches... He said the new party will rise from the internet. I really see this happening more with ron paul than any other politician. I am not advocating him, I am just stateing my observation.

So I agree, this is a great idea. Lets raise that 30% voter turn out.

marcege1 challenges Votester: a new online political party (Kinda like Ideabl...

Who are the first Votester politicians? Do you want to be one? The idea works from the Comptroller of Maryland to state and national senators, governers, and presidents, in any representative democracy around the world. A straightforward but big idea -- where to start?
