I'm Too Young For This! (http://i2y.com) is a pioneering cancer advocacy, research and support foundation for young adults. For survivors aged 15-39, the past 30 years of "progress" have failed them because, in that time, incidence has doubled and 5-year survival remains unchanged. There's no reason to think the next decade will be different unless change starts now for this critically underserved population with unique needs to get busy living their lives (e.g. fertility/intimacy/sexuality, education, peer support, financial aid, insurance, employment) A need exists to organize/mobilize/activate Gen X/Y and educate providers through a custom social media solution.

Goodness, matthewzachary, ... whoa! ... I'm searching for the words ...
'first off' I HAVE VOTED this idea (that is, I have voted for life -PRECIOUS LIFE!).

AND as a Ph.D. student of Natural Health and having been in a motor vehicle accident, realize the importance of Integrative Medicine. As a former Hospital Chaplain, I have had the privilige of serving this SPECIAL population. The needs are great, BUT, the answers are MANY! I am glad that you are about to interphase the two. Be encouraged, I've heard it said and fully concurr with the assertion, "There are at least as many pathways to healing as there are maladies if not more. Today the question is, which pathway is the most effective for me?" :) G-dspeed to you!

Just a thought, but maybe taking all the wonderful information you are planning on and maybe not just provide it to people, but maybe start a support group? I know there are tons out there, even a few for young adults, but it doesn't hurt to have more, especially with more information you will research.

What about conducting psychological, physical, and socialogical behavior studies of those who have survived, and conquered their cancer to see if you can come with a possible solution for young adults who may be looking at what they need to do on a day to day basis that may improve their chances of getting out of this alive. Over all great idea, and It has got my vote!
