Eve’s Rib Clothing raises money and awareness by producing cause-related apparel that connects people with their passions. We place the power of change in the hands of the consumer, as a portion of the proceeds from every purchase go directly to the corresponding cause. Fashion never felt so good.

Each year, billions of dollars are spent on apparel. Eve's Rib Clothing was created to divert a small portion of those profits to worthy cause through sales of fashionable thought-provoking clothing. Since 2004, Eve's Rib Clothing has been promoting positive body image and self-esteem in women and girls while raising money for the National Eating Disorders Association. Now, Eve's Rib seeks to broaden it's impact by creating new socially-relevant garments for additional non-profits that address pressing global needs.

Music For New Ears creates music for deaf individuals who use cochlear implants to hear.

Cochlear implants are surgically implanted electronic devices that provide a sense of sound to people with profound deafness. However, many aspects of sound, including pitch and timbre, are almost entirely lost in the process, making it difficult for cochlear implant users to enjoy music.<p><br>Music For New Ears is a non-profit collaboration between composers, hearing scientists, and cochlear implant users. We identify sounds that C.I. users can hear with the most clarity and use these sounds to compose new music.<p><br>Our mission is to help cochlear implant users better enjoy music by creating music specifically for them and the unique way in which they hear.

Gumball Capital - a startup nonprofit - gets students educated, involved and inspired to fight poverty through entrepreneurship.
-
Microfinance, or small loans to the poor, has helped lift millions out of poverty - but many more need our support. We raise awareness and funds for microfinance loans

At Gumball Capital, we think that students are looking for way to MAKE A DIFFERENCE on important social issues like global poverty. And we wanted to challenge them to use their creativity, enthusiasm and tech savvy to see how much they could really do.
-
We created the Gumball Challenge - a entrepreneurial competition where student teams are given gumballs, a $27 loan and a guidebook, and have ONE WEEK to generate as much revenue as possible. We ran a test trial in fall of 2007 and schools like Stanford, Berkeley and Yale got involved. In seven days, these student raised enough money to SUPPORT OVER 200 MICROLOANS to developing world entrepreneurs. Now we're ready to take our idea further!

In 2006 I published my sci-fi novel, "Alysa of the Fields", which is geared to teens and up. Many people told me they'd buy the book if it were on CDs, as they had long commutes, didn't have time to sit and read. Since then I've dreamed of recording it with actors and sound effects on CDs - it would be like a movie without the visual. I'll give copies to libraries, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, visually impaired. I've begun reformatting the book as a radioplay script. I have a website for the Book One at http://www.tinafieldhowe.com/Alysa. I'm in the process of publishing the second book in the series, which will be out in November 2008. I'm planning to turn this into an audio book also

I'm a voice over actor, I also have a friend serving overseas. How could I do something for him to say "thank you"? Audio Theater for the Troops is the result. Using donated scripts and volunteer celebrity actors, this is the next generation of radio shows, rather these will be "movies for the ears"

My cousin served on an aircraft carrier and I had a good friend serve on a nuclear submarine. I understand their need for off hours entertainment of varying types.

I admire the work the U.S.O. does but I wondered what about those that cannot make it to the show? What happens when the tour is over? These hard working men and women deserve top quality entertainment that was made JUST for them and is available to them 24/7/365.

Over the last two years I have forged agreements and alliances with the actors unions SAG and AFTRA as well as the WGA. I have studios around L.A. willing to donate time. Post production is too lengthy to be donated. Finding material and scheduling require staff.

Using a Ugandan school for AIDS orphans as a case study, we will design elementary math education toys for the developing world, with a US retail sister product that funds the global distribution. This project is an initiative run by Project H Design, a product design nonprofit.

Project H believes design can change the world. We have assembled a team of product designers, social entrepreneurs, and manufacturers to design and produce a toy for elementary math education with applications in both the developing world and the US retail market.

The case study is The Kutamba School for AIDS orphans in Uganda (an Architecture For Humanity project), which Project H worked with this year. We will develop a locally-produced version of the math toy for Kutamba and broader distribution in the developing world, and a sister US retail version based on the same system.

Our program provides tutoring free of charge to students from low-income familes in underresourced areas. We believe in teaching students in a manner in which they gain an appreciation and love for learning and are able to apply skills not only in the classroom but also in the real world.

Our youth are in desperate need of improved education, positive role models, and constructive outlets. A Teach for America Alumnus created a positive program that pairs highly-educated, creative, and passionate tutors with at-risk students in 11 counties surrounding metro Atlanta to provide one-on-one instruction in core subjects. In addition to improving students' academics, we strive to ensure that students are well-rounded. Volunteer efforts, youth forums, and periodic social events are held to provide students with the opportunity to be involved in the community, positively relate to peers, and build self-confidence. Students also receive free books and scholarship opportunities.

Shelter Pets Rock....educating children on the importance of adoption, spay and neuter programs as well as proper care of pets.

Millions of animals are euthanized nationwide every year. Though there are groups supporting these beautiful creatures and advocating adoption and spay neuter programs, the sad statistics barely improve. Myself and my 10 year old daughter want to educate children at a young age about the plight of these animals and what they can do to help including proper care of their own pets, bully breed education and awareness, spay and neuter programs and the importance of adoption and supporting local shelters. We feel that this education at a young age will produce a future generation of pet responsible adults.

This is not just an idea. The prototype has been created, and for the last 9 years it's been field tested with awesome reviews. It's a board game with a unique style that not only gives the player variety and excitement each time the game is played, but keeps every player involved on every turn.

I began inventing games since I was young. The most popular one I ever came up with has a medieval genre. The concept of medieval adventures has always been popular. Mine is similar, with all the fun elements of creating and building up a character, collecting cards, fighting monsters, hoarding treasure, making choices, and completing quests. There are some unique aspects that set my game apart. I have sat down with all ages from 8 yrs old to adult, and they pick it up quick, so it's fun and easy for all ages. The board layout is unique. The artwork on the board and cards rock, choices and details are given in a quest book, so there is no way that the game can be played the same way twice.

On September 4, 2008, my wife, Donna 57 was diagnosed with severe Alzheimer's. It is really emotionally draining for me. I have been with her for 30 years and she is so young looking and beautiful (she looks like she is in her early 40's). According to her Neurologist, her life expectancy is from 5 to 7 years. <BR> I started a journal yesterday as an outlet. Living with a wife that has Alzheimer's, the journal has passages on how she is doing along with events and my inner feelings. I would publish the journal entries and publicly post them daily on a blog. This "reality blog" will serve to educate people on the affects Alzheimer's has on the patient and associated loved ones.

Our mission is simple:
- Provide consumers with the information about how to get the best value for every product and service at the best price.
- Educate South Floridians about how they can take advantage of the hidden and hard to find savings opportunities.
www.consumersavingsnow.com

www.consumersavingsnow.com
Consumer Savings Group is an idea that came from a simple concept;
Financial Advisors (Stock Brokers, CPA's, etc.) primarily want to help people who pay them the highest fee that they can justify! They are not in business to help the average family make ends meet, as there's very little profitability in helping at such a cash flow management level.
Most Consumer Groups do a fine job of helping with budgeting and cash-flow advice, but you have to go to them, and the advice is generally generic.
Consumer Savings Group was formed after the owner spent almost 20 years watching the leaders of Corporate America gain personal wealth for themselves.

Your child's school cafeteria and vending machines will accept smart cards that the parents fill with money online, the cards track the eating habits and health information of what the kids eat. The students are awarded points based on the healthy options they choose and for managing their finances.

The school issues all students a smart card that their parents can fill with money online or over the phone. For low-income students the cards can be filled by state programs. Every purchase the students make from the lunch lady or a vending machine is saved into a profile that parents and student can access. The child will be rewarded for healthy eating with points and coupons redeemable at participating retailers. The online program will have an avatar that reacts to the food the child purchases, like an online pet, to help teach nutrition. The purchasing patterns could also earn the entire school points and rewards as the healthiest student body. Many companies would love to participate.

I hate to do windows, and when you do, they seem to quickly get dirty again and again. My idea, which would need further development, would be a retrofit to existing windows. Two units per window would be needed (indoor and outdoor). The units would be inconspicuous. The units would be controlled remotely by a timer or remote control. The units would contain a tank of window cleaner, and a mechanical rolling unit. They would me powered by rechargeable battery and recharged by solar cells. Just like a miniature car wash, the unit would spray, brush and then squeegee the window. The units may be pricey but they would pay for themselves by saving the time it take to clean your windows.
