GPS Enabled childrens shoes
GPS Enabled childrens shoes
Idea Description
If I were to win this contest I would use the money for research into my proposed idea "GTRAC" GPS enabled childrens shoe line with further applications into the childrens clothing lines as well as adult clothing. The shoes would be embedded with the same technology as cellphones so that they could be tracked to an exact location by police agencies across the united states.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I would have to hire a firm to research the tecnological application so that i could determine feasability so that i would know what direction to proceed and which corporations to approach.
Vote for it now.

Q1: I would need product prototypes and a development grant or a funding source for my study, possibly donations or a corporation interested in developing my product. Then of couse copyright and development, manufacturing and so forth.
great idea. make sure you get patented. do everything possible to get this to market. could save thousands of lives.
I like this concept. I'll bet you'll have parents signing up but mostly, it'd be useful in nursing homes (Alzheimer's patients) and for caregivers of people with disabilities (believe me, I've thought about "chipping" my son but I imagine that would cause outrage in public discussion). For that matter, even pet owners would buy collars if the technology was proven and relatively affordable. I don't know about shoes tho...kids outgrow those, they own more than one pair and these would be pricey. Maybe a bracelet?
Would one need to create the whole shoe or could a device be created to insert into existing shoes to accomplish the same thing?
