General Advice (12) Give advice
Advice given by andyt05.30.08 | 03:54 PMI see this as being more of a tool or feature. Perhaps a technology that could be licensed to existing social network(s), or even a company like Kodak who is attempting to ride the technology wave. The greatest challenge will be marketing, but again, the key is finding the proper place for this technology.

Advice given by easyeboy05.29.08 | 09:25 AMDo you like to save time with your social life and get more value out of it? Would you like to save time while you meet people? FreezeCrowd will do that. What if you could "freeze" all the photographs in your life, not just who is in the photographs, but what they meant to you in your life. You wouldn't need to go to their profile just to post a comment, because you can do it in the photo. What if you could interact with 10 people in your group, as you do in real life? We at FreezeCrowd are striving to make this easier for you with one button, the FreezeCrowd button that captures everything that you wanted to know, about people in the photo, without having to look everywhere for it! Freeze the crowd, your groups, your memories, all in one place. Groups are built into photos, so you don't have to go elsewhere. You know the group is a "real" world group, because there is a real photo that attaches to it.

Advice given by easyeboy05.25.08 | 08:37 PMIf you could control a crowd, or figure out "crowd control" then how would you do that? If you could customize your very own "FreezeCrowd" button, would you customize it? If so, what would you use to "freeze" the crowd?
Are you sure you want to report as abuse?
Advice given by easyeboy05.25.08 | 03:02 AMHave you ever wanted to join a conversation in a crowd? Have you ever thought about group communication platform that would save you time? Would you like your groups to be real visualizations, rather than just some association, but something that really matters to you in life? Social networking should be easier, and FreezeCrowd can save you time. I've figured out the way to communicate more effectively. What do you think of the Harkness Table approach to social networking?

05.15.08 | 11:33 AMI am not sure how your advertising plans really help you?
Doing a broad promotion that is not well targeted seems like it may be a dispersion of scarce resources. Do the targeting first and then the marketing.

Are you sure you want to report as abuse?
Advice given by easyeboy05.05.08 | 12:14 PMjdg257, there is more to this idea than I could place in the paragraph above, yet rest assured that the idea is differentiated from other social networking sites. Our biggest value proposition is the time you'll save with networking, and the ease of use it will provide to our users.

05.01.08 | 08:35 AMI not totally getting the differentiation between FreezeCrowd and Facebook Tagging? Facebook tags photos and all the people who get tagged are notified that they were tagged.
Is this for the random people in the background of a tagged photo? If so how would they know they are in the picture if no one knows them? Are you sure you want to report as abuse?
Advice given by boogsny103.15.08 | 03:04 AMEric, good seeing you tonight at the Mash Meet...I think people under estimate the power of photos. I think the photo-tagging tool in Facebook is probably what made it as big as it is today. Good luck with the innovative features you bring to photos and photo-tagging!!!

Q1: FreezeCrowd means? It came from Eric, the founder when he was looking at his college freshman meet book back in 1999, he thought of an idea of linking people in crowds of three by interest, and got rid of the number three, and made it into a verb freeze. (0) Respond

Q2: What are your thoughts on marketing the site by advertising on Adwalker billboards and co-branding the site with consumer packaged good companies or other company brands? (0)

This is a great new and innovative social networking site! Sounds more fun, and like it has a lot of potential to grow. Connecting to crowds is a powerful idea. Your idea should have won!

Hey easyboy! My SU account has been disabled somehow, so I can't respond to your messages. Would love to help with this great idea. Email me at info@softclothing.net.
Great idea! best of luck.
I still don't understand this concept. The purpose is to give your online photo clickable action to your profile and to allow you to add thought bubbles to your ownline photo?
Looks like it could be a really cool way for people to connect to their friend's friends. I like it.
Good luck Buddy this is good . Happy New Year to you.

Good Job Eric! Good luck!!! ~Kim
Great idea. Like Second Life without the silliness - a straight group-conversation concept. If you get some funds, let me know as I own a software company working on some revolutionary social networking software.
Sounds good to me.
Thanks for the vote! I think I like this idea a lot, though I'm not quite sure I get it. Does it allow people to tag themselves in photos which then link back to their Facebook?
I guess this sounds interesting, and it's good you have some progress made (website is live)...but I still don't understand what it is. Can you give me an example of how I'd use this? And how is this different or better than the feature on Facebook that allows you to tag yourself in photos?
I do think this is a really interesting idea that could bring together people who would not otherwise communicate. You should check out my recreational coaching idea for parents who want to coach their kid's teams but don't know a lot about the sport.
huyuno - see comment above!
I highly doubt this site can stand on its own. You are directly competing with giants like facebook and myspace. How is your 'patented technology' going to make people want to use it over facebook or myspace. I don't see any explanation of the difference between your technology and facebook's. Maybe a better explanation of your idea would be better.
Very intriguing. Aside from the consumer application, Eric has already heard that there's an equally intriguing application within the government marketplace. The concept of indexing photos and those connected to faces is very powerful. Scott was right when he said 'its all about the network'--and now its all about connecting networks to truly relational databases.... I cast my vote for FreezeCrowd
Great idea Eric! Best of luck!
Great idea Eric! Best of luck!
Just a question -- how can you patent this? Are you planning on patenting the actual code, the idea behind your social network, or the touch-and-feel aspect of your site? From what I understand, it would be very hard to patent a social network since there is nothing novel about it (e.g. facebook's photo tagging feature). I know for a fact that facebook has a Russian "twin": vkontakte.ru and they didn't get sued so far...
WHEN IS THE LAUNCH? GOOD LUCK WITH THE GREAT IDEA!! JOEY D, ST. -PETERSBURG FLORIDA
Good luck Eric. Rosalind R

Lisa is really proud of you and telling all her friends to vote for you.The only reason I registered with this site was so I could vote for your idea. It sounds like something I would use. I love snapping photos with my Blackberry and posing them on myspace.-Tim
