Q1: How do you promote a new, grassroots-type service as this? How do you get others to become aware of your idea when it is being marketed to the public and not directly to an enterprise user.
Idea Description
Don't have an Internet cell phone but do text message? How about capturing a brief video clip from your Nanny camera or other venues (e.g. virtual tours, sports clips) and sending them over a text message, otherwise called a multimedia message. The cell phone user would simply subscribe to the service and configure which video stream to encode and deliver to the cell phone. Its an add on to existing text message notification systems.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Hire a software programmer for 2 months to work with me on building the capability and then add it on to an existing text messaging notification system that my company built and deployed. The next step is to promote the service for which I would love some input from the community.
