this idea will definitely work & on a :large scale"; helping more people with funds that otherwise would not be in reach is important to the submitter. i would like to see you win & then i would like to be your first customer as i help the world be free from the reasons of war. i hope you win. pace the peace! inione.
Blink's work is absolutely amazing. Its personal documentaries are visually creative and packed with emotional power. This would be an incredible project.
A super great business idea - I bet there would be many families interested in this in building up a video family tree, and it would also be a fun way to roast someone on their birthday!
This is a great way to immortalize a family’s history, in a personal and meaningful way, for generations to come. I can imagine a Visa ad saying “creating a treasured family heirloom—priceless!”, and it would be right!
I think it is a fabulous idea. I wish my family did this before my parents died. It would be great to have a (ken Burns) type video for a family legacy. Please support this idea.
....this is very scalable for the coming years, not only for the genration retiring and looking back over thier life, but us all as we start to gather more and more digital data as we pass though our lives. Cool stuff...
life is so short....getting family telling their own story; weaving family lore...having memory lane on a 'reel' is fabulous! I love Blink...it captures history in a way nothing else can.
This sounds terrific. What a neat idea. We've taken so many photos and videos of our daughter and it would be great to put them all together in documentary form.
I've seen blink's work and the way the movies are put together are guaranteed to put you back in the experience as you watch it - putting videos together in this way tells a story of one person's family and it is able to be done with all the heart and joy you would want and expect. It is an amazing idea and guaranteed to be a treasured keepsake.
Awesome idea! We have so many old family movies and zillions of pictures and no one ever takes the time to look through them all...having a short, put together piece would be great!
Absolutely love the idea of "personal documentaries." All of us have stories to tell, and yet so few of us know how to tell them. This is going to be huge.
this idea is absolutely fantastic! who has the time or energy to sort through all the old photos, digital pictures, hours of video tapes etc. to make a short, watchable, memorable "family film"? and how many of us really have the eye and talent of skilled filmmakers to pull it off so it doesn't look like a cheesy wedding photo slide show? with family legacy on the line, i agree with blink that we should leave it to the professionals!
my grandfather's brother died recently. I had wanted to go get him to tell to camera all the family stories, because he had stories going back a hundred years. our family lived in same town for a few hundred, so there must have been a lot of lore. now we're all dispersed, it's going to get lost if someone doesn't do something. so yes, i think this is a great idea!
This idea is both incredibly simple and incredibly brilliant. I want a dozen before the price goes up. Is there a discount for multiple purchases? Coupons?
I love it - as a new mom who lost her mom and grandmothers, I would love to pass along this tradition to my little one so she could know them even if they aren't with her.
I grew up gqthering together as a family to watch a family slide show and listen to stories of our family. We really don't have that anymore. Now, when my kids ask us about their great grandparents (our grandparents) we tell stories. How fantastic is would be to have a Family Documentry for our children (and their children) could have. This is a fantastic idea!
This idea is awesome. People could go beyond a scrap book and capture a family history or even a milestone - a parent's 60th birthday, grandparents' wedding anniversary, or even sweet 16 party. You could make it as sophisticated as you want (ala PBS) or as cheesey as Real World 25.
I think this is a fantastic idea. In today's mobile society, we have lost the old family ideals of passing stories down from generation to generation. This documentary will enable viewers to witness this sort of historical preservation first hand. It is an idea that should be supported here and by institutions like Public Television, the Smithsonian Institute and all of us who treasure our family experiences. Absolutely brilliant!!!
This is an awesome idea. I helped pay for collage by doing this. Good luck with it. I like the design of your site.

Great idea- I know of a couple that might be getting married sometime. They might want to have a film made about them - where do I call :) ?

Great idea! someone should have thought of it sooner.

I think this is a superb idea. A wonderful way to record a family history.
I think this idea is excellent. It would make the lives of future generations that much richer, as compared to a family tree.
I love this idea - a great way to celebrate your family history
I (Jerry) and all my neighbors think it's a great idea!

I think it is a great idea. You go Becky!
I have tried to create my own picture shows and my amateur skills really show! It's a wonderful idea to have a documentary produced by a pro.
What a phenomenal idea--My family would love this as a way to celebrate the lives of our grandparents!
