Health Care Co-op Solution
Health Care Co-op Solution
Idea Description
Most hospitals and clinics are owned by certain corporations. The strategy would be to build health savings accounts with those specific corporations that patients can then draw against. The corporations would take the money and invest it to offset costs. Each patient's account would then build and grow with a decent ROR for use later in life.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
put together a business plan and present to some of the local hospitals and clinics.
Vote for it now.

Q1: what roadblocks will I face?
how is the best way to proceed?
should I create a nonprofit to work from?
what will be the response of this presentation?
Just to make sure I understand this correctly, you idea is have heath care companies set up a system that allows customers to have savings accounts under that particular company. In return, the customer receives a great discount on their health plan, as well as a savings account that acts just like any other one from a real bank.
This also allows the company to take the money in the savings accounts and use it to invest and make more money, just like normal banks do. The money that the companies make is what is used to give big discounts to their customers.
If I got that right, then I think you might have come up with a solution to the pricey healthcare problem in the U.S.
The first roadblock is determining how many people need to set up savings accounts with a particular health care company in order for them to be able to give people a reduced rate. There would need to be a certain amount of money in these savings accounts to be turned around and invested.
I would say that in order to make this work there needs to be a $150 or $200 …moreminimum deposit to start an account, just like a regular bank requires. Those individuals who have set up their accounts either get free or practically free health care plans for being a part of their investment/banking system. All of the other customers who are not taking part in the savings accounts will obviously not have free health care plans, but definitely reduced premiums thanks to those who are taking part in the savings account system.
If this was set up correctly, the particular company that decides to implement this would generate a lot of business. The word would get out that if you set up a savings account with such n such company, they will give you practically free health care. More and more people will hear this company's name.
Also, it's a win-win for the customers who set up savings accounts because they are saving money, and getting almost free health care.
