Buy video training materials for youth in schools
Buy video training materials for youth in schools
Idea Description
I would make affordable videos about at-risk youth entering into juvenile justice system called "Juvie" it will teach youth that going to the juvenile justice system is nothing nice.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I write dramas so what I would need is the right video equipment for making the videos and get them into the schools and agencies or social programs that provide services to troubled youth without being too expensive, but affordable.
Vote for it now.

Q1: List means of solicting qualified people for mentoring troubled and problem youth.
The building that is hosting the program presently, is in foreclosure and I will have to find a nother area to house my program. The old Boys and Girls Club is giving me an opportunity to qualify for the building, I need a lot of cash! But God promised that a cattle on a thousand hills belong to Him. So what is moeny ito God n any amout. He said ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find. If it be HIs will, it'll be done. I need your vote to help keep thsi porgram alive and not let it die to lack of funding. Thanks
If I win this contest I would use the funds to purchase a building to house the mentoring program, presenty, it's being hosted at a church with limited space for activities for youth. Plesae vote, Thanks
I certainly agree with you regarding these youth needs for mentoring of positive role models, but I also have documented roports from the court systems stating that the style or approach I use is very affective and they report youth coming out of the system because of the video training, sort of a scared tactic approach, but it's also accompanied by my mentoring, counseling and guidance, I would conclude by saying that the video supports my theory of making wrong choices and not wanting to go into the system. Thanks for your comments. Rev E Rodgers Sr
I think that every effort to keep kids out of the juvenile justice system is worthwhile. However, based on your description, I am not sure that a video showing that juvenile justice system is "nothing nice" is the best approach. I'm pretty sure (based on a hunch) that none of the offenders commit crimes because they think the juvenile justice system is a good alternative. They do it because they have no role models and nothing pulling them in another direction. Could you produce a video to address these issues?
