Develop A "Personal Inventory" Web Application
Idea Description
I would like to develop a website free to users where they can enter their personal belongings into a system accompanied by pictures or video of their items. This will be used in the event of an emergency. For instance, my sister’s home caught fire, and her insurance company asked for an inventory of everything she had. If this application was available she could have had pictures/video/descriptions, and values of her personal inventory quickly available for the insurance company. How would the site generate revenue? Easy, by selling ad space to insurance companies who would love the potential consumer base.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Register domain name and secure a reliable host with a SQL Server back-end for the initial launch. Set money aside for an advertising blitz and equipment. I am a web application developer/designer, I could do the work myself within six months. Once the application is finished I would do a "soft-launch" and solicit advertisers.

Good idea and good opprotunity. Product spec would be important to make it easy for users to enter their property, possibly a mobile interface as well? a tie in application to facebook? Good luck!
