open up an indoor place for children and young adults to play across the north slope of alaska
Idea Description
All across rural Alaska there has been a lot of domestic violence & not enough places to where families can go and take their children to have fun. Since there are harsh climate changes, an indoor 'fun' place can change lives for the better. Children and young adults would have a safe place to go and hang out instead of having bad influences constantly around their surroundings.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Build a place starting in my hometown, Barrow, Alaska on our land that we own. Get help from local entities for extra funding needed to make the place possible not only in Barrow but across the North Slope of Alaska in the outlying villages of Barrow.
Vote for it now.

Q1: Maintaining the costs of keeping the building running throughout the year. Land and space available in the villages. What kind of training needed to work in the environment of children and young adults.
Reaching out to the community by creating other positive activities is an excellent goal. However running the kind of organization you are talking about would require a carefully thought out plan. Maintenance costs would vary extremely depending on what kind of activities you offered. For example a basketball court versus an indoor soccer field.
