I worked in a remote area in Alaska a few summers ago and it was difficult to get food up there and even more difficult to keep it fresh. I can only imagine how an idea like this would help third-world countries, areas effected by natural disasters, and so much more.

Are these out on the market yet? I could really use this product. I also have some relatives that this would make a great Christmas Present for! Please keep me posted on this product!

This sounds like a really good idea. You really deserve to win! Even if you don't, companies are blind if they don't want to get in on the action. The space we had to do these submissions is extremely limited so there wasn't a lot of room to explain, but I the FreshBox was chosen out of over a thousand entries in the New York competition. That meant that we were in the top 5% - but from that - only one was chosen to go on from NY. The cameras weren't rolling during this portion - I wasn't even allowed to turn my own on while we were in the building. The only footage I've got is of the line that went for blocks in the snow and rain in Manhattan and took two days to give everyone a chance. <p>It was a great experience and I was absolutly delighted with the firefighter that finally won!
