Idea Harvesting - To Help You Realize Your Ideas!
Idea Harvesting - To Help You Realize Your Ideas!
Idea Description
An idea harvester aggregates the RSS feeds that could be provided by any ideablog on the Internet (like ideablob for example) to search for and "harvest" ideas that individual/business subscribers to the service are looking for based on a set of keywords they define. It's like an alert service for ideas that gets your idea to the person or business that might be able to do something about it and really help you to realize your vision.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Build a prototype service taking feeds from a few ideablogs (like ideablob) and testing the premise out.
Vote for it now.

What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
I was just referring to to my ideablob submission: "Urban Harvesting" in a joking fashion. The new launch of RSS Mixer will output a combined feed that can be filtered so that you could potentially parse this new feed into a customized site that has it's own branding and focus. I would certainly visit this site if you were to set it up.
I created a mix called ideafeeds and the beta works nicely. As you know Feed Digest and maybe others do this already. Keyword based RSS mixing is the technology underpinnings but my idea is really about the businesss model and the way ideas are presented to ideafeed subscribers. Idea harvesting has been around for years in idea management circles but not AFAIK in the context I'm suggesting so I think I have dibs on the title /-)). Best of luck with RSSmix.
I hope you pass me a vote for that title. =) The company where I work is actually developing this RSS mixing that will allow you to set keywords and combine multiple feeds together. This is our very rough prototype: http://rssmixer.com/ We'll be launching the real version sometime in the next month.
