Wood Working / Contracting Co-Op
Wood Working / Contracting Co-Op
Idea Description
Offer a woodworking co-op facility where the resources are donated from local businesses(tools, materials and funds), and business owners(General and specilaized Contractors who will donate time to teach the trades); in turn you are creating a labor pool of skilled and unskilled workers to take on house renovations, remodeling, and assist victims of natural disasters, water leaks and fires. Use green products; solar panels to sell electricity back and recycled materials to revamp run down housing.

Q1: How to set up a non profit organization?
- I wonder how this will differ/compete with the Saturday morning "seminars" at Home Depot & Lowes? Good idea though - I like it - maybe get some retired carpenters - your local union hall or trade contracting organization like Associated General Contractors of America or Associated Builders and Contractors - local chapter might be interested in nuturing interested future craft workers.
