A website that find local kids to service your computer cheap.
Idea Description
So, you don't want to take your PC to the repair shop, they cost too much and waste time. You need your work done fast, someone local, someone that know their stuff, and work for cheap. Try kids or IT pro next door. A website that will help you locate a geeks or nerds.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
The money will put the project off the ground.
Vote for it now.

What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
Also, a couple points about competing with big box stores. Customers seem to go there because of brand recongition (most people know the Geek Squad and a good many know Firedog) and they have comfort in their services (why? i dunno). Attack those points.
Having worked as a computer tech at a big-box store, I think there is a lot of potential here. The prices that Best Buy and Circuit City charge are ridiculous and it sometimes takes 1-3 weeks. Plus, I think you would get people with more knowledge than some of their employees...trust me, a few of those guys should never have been allowed to touch the inside of a computer. I think making money wouldn't be a problem. Price your services below theirs and take a percentage. The main thing you need to focus on is liability and service guarantee. The customer's data is often times more valuable than the device itself...and if that becomes lost, they get angry!
how are you going to make money on this initiative? if the catch here is cheap labor, then you might have a problem tacking on a fee for your services.
See if you can find a win-win situation. Discuss your idea with local computer store, or stores that sell computer games, or rent them. Get a contest together where kids enter, and if they win they get on the "Team". Kinda of like the Firedog Kids. Have to have some sort of meeting to ascertain level of experise. Better check with age limits for earning money. High school or college level best bet. Might could get a local Vocational School or Community College start something.
