** GetIn! ** A College Advising Service for High School Students and their Parents
Idea Description
Get In! is a new company that pairs a high school student with a college student of similar ethnicity, demographics, interests and high school background with the intention of helping the high school student find the right college. Get In! also offers application polishing, essay assistance, interview preparation, and other services to make the college application process more simple and less stressful for both the parent and child.
Four years at a private university can cost upwards of $150,000. Why not spend a few hundred dollars with GetIn! to make sure you pick the right one.

I think it's great...but it's also my idea. What does everyone else think?
I know there's some content out there like this...but I don't think there's anything that has the mentoring bit built in. I wonder if there's a way to think about using facebook as a platform...maybe creating some kind of intro application tool.
Well, there was another user who coined the freshmen orientation idea, that is similar, but you are talking high school. DO you really think college students want to be bothered by highschool students? They have their own things they have to deal with. I do however think it is a good idea if it will work. Otherwise, those HS students should just wait till they get into college.
