A Sell Your Own Car Dealership
A Sell Your Own Car Dealership
Idea Description
I would like to have a dealership of some sorts, where the average customer can place their car in a parking lot to sell it on their own. They would be able to pay-per-space, plus come and go as they want. If the car doesn’t sell in a week(s), go trade it in. It would provide a place for shoppers to see used cars without the hassle of CAR DEALERS. They would also get the car listed on a website, with the length of time it would be in the lot and contact info for meetings.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
If I were to win, I would take the money and use it to get a loan for a location.
Vote for it now.

If you could get the first location up and running, this would be a great franchise business
You knwo what I really like about this: It doe snot require a whole lot of work on your end. As the owner, you would just be responsible for security, up-keep on the lot, and keeping the webiste updated. You should think about posting on the site the sodl cars too and for how much to help other buyers!
thats a good idea. Thanks
A very good idea. I will use it to sell my car one day.
I think the best way to go when it comes to insurance is have an agreement drafted up that differs responsibilities and is a waiver to any problems that might happen on your lot. your own 'not responsible for accidents' legal document
i could use this right now actually! Check out my idea when you have the chance...I'd like you to be one of my site's first users! Cheers!!!
Al though this is a great idea. We actually already have one here in MN. It's called Carmart: Owner to Owner. Pretty much does what you describe. The seller of the vehicle pays the lot owner a small fine of $25 a week to have their car placed on the lot for other people to come in to look at. It was extremely successful until dealerships started to show up. Then the fun of selling owner to owner wasn't there anymore, they had to compete, once again, with the dealers.
