Q1: I don't have any possible challenges just yet, but I would like to ask people out there if they see any challenges I might face
Idea Description
My idea is an all in one glucometer for diabetics, the glucometer would include the needle & test strips in the device. When it's time to test their blood for sugar, a needle and test strip would come up and when finished with the testing they can remove the needle and test strips and dispose of them. When it's time to do another blood glucose test, the next needle and test strips in line would come up. This device would allow patients to only have to carry one thing instead of a container of test strips and needles, and glucometer.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
If I win the 10K, I would get together with somebody in product development and have them come up with a prototype to present to a potential company interested in it.

I think that this is a nice idea. I am not personally a diabetic, but I know some who are. They always have to carry around a little pouch with all of their tools in it. The more you can combine these instruments into one, the better.
The only challenge I would see would be developing the first model. You need a prototype before you can get any further in your business venture. But instead of designing and developing an entirely new unit, I would have an already existing glucose meter company make it for you.
What you would need to do is come up with a really convincing business plan. Also you should draft up some professional looking drawings to get the concept across. The point is for them not to have to envision anything, you should be able to do all of that for them.
After you do all of that, you should be able to find at least one company that would like to purchase your patent or work some sort of distribution deal for you to make your fortune.
