YouMonitor.Us - "neighborhood watch" for any web site
YouMonitor.Us - "neighborhood watch" for any web site
Idea Description
Say I have a web site called mysite.com. In order to keep it up and running all the time, I need a website monitoring solution, which alerts me when something bad happens to my site. Existing solutions are costly because they charge by how many areas I'd like my site to be monitored from.
There should be a website monitoring service runs almost like a "neighborhood watch" network in community. It allows any website to participate in the network and get GLOBAL monitoring service for free, while each website contributes a fraction of its resources to monitor others.
Everybody WINs.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Since we already had this "neighborhood-watch" kind peer-to-peer website monitoring service built up (http://YouMonitor.Us), we will put the 10K up as rewards to the webmasters of the TOP-10 most reliable, highest uptime and fastest websites registered and measured quarterly by our services. Maybe we'll call it "Up Time" contest! :-)
Come check us out, if you own or manage a website, any kind, any size!
Vote for it now.

Q1: How to get more webmasters and website owners to know about this? How to get "viral"??
Any suggestions/advices are welcome!
Thanks all for trying out the service and commented here! ldu: we are adding some features in the very near future aiming to bring quality traffic to sites that participate. :-) I will check out your websites one by one folks! Joss
