Restaurant without servers or bus boys. Orders are taken...
Restaurant without servers or bus boys. Orders are taken, food is served, and dishes are collected by radio controlled trains.
Idea Description
Model trains take customer orders, deliver the food, and clean up dishes. The kitchen becomes the central station, with all trains running through the kitchen. Hot food is placed and then trained out to the tables. Customers communicate with the central station through radios on their tables.
Everyone in the family, especially the kids would love seeing trains, having food delivered and interacting with the central control station via radio.
It’s a winning idea for everyone. Including the bottom line for the business, because without wait staff, labor costs are reduced and the service experience is controlled.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Create an initial design for the train configuration and the central station kitchen.
Vote for it now.

What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
You like it. You’re confused by it. You want to know more. Ask questions and post comments here.
Post a commentWhile the idea has a certain charm, I think you need to study how train layouts are controled. Most if not all train layouts are run with signals through the tracks. This is because of a limited number radio frequencies, and what they may be used for.
