This is a good idea. I didn't see any competitors that fit this exact description. Some of the ones that were close had a poorly designed user interface. You'll probably need more than 10K though to get a Website that is this complex (booking, commerce, advertising, promotion, users, etc) off the ground.

Being an event planner, I know the time it takes to find the rescources you need for an event. A site like this would be be a time saver as well as useful rescource. I wish I had it now!

Awesome Idea!!! Imagine how nice it would be to do your event planning (weddings and parties) on your time not theirs. It has been my experience that the venue owners call back at their convenience not yours. Best of luck with this idea.

I could fire my secretary if this type of site existed. She just sits all day anyway, try to get her to answer a phone. Any way It would be a great time saver and provide a wonderful way to manage all of my clients needs. I have an event planning business. Imagine how much sooner I could get back to my clients with quotes and options for venues. Not to mention you could cross merchandise and sell advertising spots to caterers and other related services. I am sold. Just don’t let ebay run it.

Great idea of having the flexible search criteria will separate this site from the other similar ones!

I am very familiar with this company and have watched it grow from an idea, thru concept and now in the processs of completing specifications, getting funding in preparation product build out. The two owners are solid business people and understand this market very well. The market reserch shows that this idea would overwhelmingly be adopted by the SMB's (Small-medium Busienssses) who struggle to fill their venues.

Great idea! It would be great to be able to view lots of photos of the sites as well as to be able to book and pay for the locations on your site as well (I am sure you already knew that...just another vote for a one-stop-shopping site!!). Good luck!

nishbalczo, :) no bubble busted here. I'm very familiar with eventective. They offer tons of listings, but very little ability to filter/edit through all of those listing. They work a bit more like a bit directory. I believe that consumers want to find what they are looking for - FAST. Also, they charge website visitors to view and download venue contact information. The site I'm proposing will be 100% free, offer advanced search/filter/sort options to quickly find what you are looking for. And will offer a feature that they don't - Event Date Availability. A vast majority of customers we polled said that 'event date availability' was their #1 important factor when searching for event space. I plan to offer that. Thank you very much for your comment! I think that this is an excellent idea!! If I was looking for a meeting place, it would be very helpful to have a site that would allow me to search and satisfy many necessary requirements, not just a location in a city. Good Luck with this proposal!!

I think is an alright idea, and would be better served as just one search function in a search-type site.

I like the idea of going to one site for all my venue booking needs. This would be a great tool for do-it-yourself planning.

This is an excellent idea, and would save many people alot of time they could be spending doing something else to prepare for their event.

I book functions for my networking group, this would be a fantastic tool for me to have. Let me know when it is up and running...
