What advice do you have to help me grow my idea?
Idea Description
Develop a secure, temperature controlled delivery box for people who cannot be home to receive deliveries. The delivery box would be installed by the resident's front door and would be large enough to hold grocery orders, take out orders, catalog orders, etc. The Delivery person would drop the items in a staging bin and then use a keypad to indicate whether or not the delivery needed to be kept cool or warm. The Ultimate Delivery Box would then automatically store the item in the appropriate compartment.

new houses should be built to have a little foyer room for deliveries and the front door into that room could perhaps be set up with restricted access as proposed above for deliverymen and then the inner door opening to the living space could still be your deadbolt.
I had this same idea a few years ago... I think it makes so much common sense. Perhaps you could preprogram a tracking number into it for Fedex, UPS, USPS so they could open it with the tracking number. It would also be great if someone could call you on your cell phone and you could unlock it remotely.
sounds like a bulky thing to have in the front door.
