Student Involvement Scholarship
I see a void in University awarded scholarships as most scholarships are awarded based on residency or academics. This scholarship will be awarded to students that help build and improve communitty on campus. The awards will be based on involvement and willingness to improve the college experience.
Idea Description
Candidate must be a current full-time student in the Day program with a 3.0 gpa or higher and in good social standing. The award amounts vary depending on donor contributions/interest accrued. Scholarships will be awarded to eligible Lynn University students that demonstrate qualities in all aspects of student life, including academics, involvement and community life. Candidates must also demonstrate leadership abilities and show an ability to foster a greater sense of community at Lynn University through programming and events. Awards will also take into account a willingness to embrace the diverse Lynn University community and a wellness structured lifestyle.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
This money would be the basis for the scholarship. I am already contributing $5,000 of my own money to get the scholarship started. I hope over time it can grow and help people that give so much to thier individual universities. It will be limited to Lynn University to begin with and depending on the size of the total fund it may be opened up to a larger area.
Vote for it now.

Q1: Please give any feedback and advice. It will all be appreciatted.
Great concept! This will be very meaningful and the impact will be significant. I know you are just getting started, but I am already thinking of ways that this scholarship can be expanded into a program. Perhaps a leadership institute. To have a really widespread impact with this award, it should focus on perhaps 10-20 student leaders each year. Because you are starting the fund with your own money, you can reach out to alumni (the leaders of course), and show that you cared enough to start the fund with your own money, and you need their support to expand the reach.
Here is an example of a young person who started a scholarship fund himself.

Along the lines of social entrepreneurship, you should also consider making it like a real fund. Instead of giving charitable hand-outs, you can allow the students to take out mini grants of up to $5,000 and require that they repay the grant anytime in their lifetime to create more lifeblood for the fund instead of limiting the scholarship's reach to your availability of cash …morein your own wallet each year.
Here is an example of a mini grant program:
