The Kegstool - The Official Barstool of Beer - kegstool.com
The Kegstool is a barstool kit, a seat top and foot rest, that universally attaches to keg shells converting it into "The Official Barstool of Beer." The Kegstool brings a new face to a dull industry, as it acts as an effective form of inventory advertisement, ie. neon signs, beer signs etc.
Idea Description
In the summer of 05', three college students set out to create the Kegstool. Together we founded Odis, Inc., dba. www.kegstool.com. We offer a barstool seat top and foot ring that universally attaches to empty keg shells, turning what was merely a trophy of accomplishment, into "The Official Barstool of Beer." A must for every dorm room, garage, and home bar. We also offer a full line of Kegstools for commercial applications; sports bars, brew pubs, and any commercial outfit looking to enhance their image while offering an innovative form of inventory advertisement. Our mission is to provide superior products that offer both novelty and functionality.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Deploy our growth plan. Oh, how we grossly overestimated viral internet growth...
The last two years we concentrated on building a very solid, well designed barstool and filing for the necessary patents and trademarks. We also concentrated on spending all our funding, left stagnant. Luckily, we were smart enough to send a few out for free to some interested magazines that happen to pay off.

Q1: I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to ask here...
Will you vote for my idea?
I might vote for this idea, but I have two questions first: is this a piece of furniture that stays in someone's home permanently? If it is, how to you get around the fact that when you get a keg in most places you don't buy the equipment, that is you must return the keg to get your deposit back? If it is not, are you supposed to use the product when you are using the keg? That will be pretty hard and uncomfortable with the tap in it still...
