Human powered video games
Electric generator that is part of a video game system, in order for the kids to play the games, they must pedal to power it. Stop pedaling and your game stops. The kids are entertained by the game and get exercise in order to play them.
Idea Description
Build a simple pedal powered electric generator, and brand it with a leading video game system. The Sony Playstation Pedal, by pedaling you create enough power to run the Playstation, and excess electricity is stored or sold back to the electric company. If the kids want to play video games all day, let them not only will it not cost you anything in electrical charges but the kids will burn excess calories powering the system. Over weight kids is one of the developed worlds biggest health risks and this could help kids be motivated to move their body in the name of fun and more importantly video games which a lot of children really love.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
If I was lucky enough to the $10k I would put a prototype together and pitch it to the three major video game companies, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Hopefully making this a viable product that would become a household item just like the video gaming systems already are.
Vote for it now.

Q1: I think this is a strong idea, and with the future of the US economy and the fuel and environmental concerns that have recently taken over the headlines and don't seem to be going away any time soon, I think this could be a viable solution to helping the health of young people across the world while adding a green power source to the grid.
Look at what the wii has done for video games. People are definitely interested in playing and exercising with interactive video games.
