Redirect opium and opium based narcotics products in Afghanistan from terrorist hands to private organizations in order to accomplish two important tasks: Significantly reduce financial resources to terrorist organizations and provide much needed analgesics to HIV ridden countries in Africa.

Idea Description
Private medical companies will take control of Afghanistan's poppy production and hire local workforce to cultivate the drug. The private company's will ulitately control production and distribution. Africa would be the medical company's major market for selling the narcotics. Currently, it is estimated that there is a need for a 40% increase in narcotics for chronically ill patients throughout the world, especially back pain in the United States and full-blown AIDs patients in Africa. The added narcotics from Afghanistan would not only help cover this deficieny, but it would also help to combat terrorism by decreasing a significant source of funding to terrorist organizations.
