Idea Description
You can follow our progress at www.unprofessionalstudios.com
I work for a PR firm who is being pressured by clients to develop a production team to perform semi-professional or under-produced videos, social networking sites, blogs. Those responsibilities fall to a professional production company who over-does it and charges too much, or results in the hiring of another person for an equally hefty salary. The Unprofessional solution offers clients low-cost video and web solutions for projects that need to have that "of the people" look. Our mission is to offer parcel creative that PR companies or businesses can tap into without getting bled dry by "the professionals".
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Our next steps, if given 10K, would go something like this:
Purchase equipment such as: printer, digital camera, video camera and modest lighting.
Get a business license.
Advertising.
Web hosting/server space for building a functional, client-friendly website.

Q1: Anyone facing overpriced web services: where have you overpaid, and what services would you like to see done unprofessionally?
It seems like web services provided by individuals are always more reasonably priced that any company offering the same services.
