Alternative Fuel to Wood Charcoal
Using agri-waste to make an alternative fuel to wood charcoal thereby saving the forests and the environment.
Idea Description
We are proposing to build a factory that would make an alternative fuel to wood charcoal. Our project would not only save the environment (deforestation and a significant improvement towards eliminating greenhouse gas emissions (methane) that are associated with the normal production of charcoal from wood), decrease poverty through job opportunities in Kenya, create a taxable product for the government, and also supply an alternative fuel to wood charcoal for the people. This alternative fuel (green charcoal) is made by the carbonization of basic agri-waste products such as banana leaves, corn stalks, cotton husks, etc.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
To apply the money towards the purchase of the machine used to carbonize the agri-waste
Vote for it now.

I'm not sure how much you know about charcoal making. In our area of WV we make charcoal from wood bark. Thus making a valuable product from a waste product from the paper making process. The idea of making a heat producing product from other waste products is in place in several area world wide.

Great idea. Sounds similar to how Doc Brown fueled his car in "Back to the Future"
