Blessings in a Basket- christian gift baskets
I would like to start a christian themed gift basket business. While there are tons of gift baskets available, I have only found one that sells christian baskets. I believe there is a market for this kind of business- from individuals looking for a unique gift idea, to church fundraisers,etc.
Q1: any feedback? I would appreciate any comments
Idea Description
I would like to begin with a main basket, then gradually add more as finances allow. For example, a sympathy basket, keep the faith basket, encouragement, you are loved, to name a few. I also would like to donate a portion of the proceeds to charity (to be determined). Who wouldn't love to receive a "blessing in a basket" to brighten up their day. As previously mentioned, I have researched this idea, and haven't found anything like it. I want to offer a unique product that not only shows the recipient that someone cares, but also that God cares, and that He will provide them with whatever they need.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Initially I would use it for basic start up- office supplies, purchase supplies for my baskets, work on advertising (business cards, flyers, research other options (radio, newspaper, etc.)
I would make several baskets and leave them in stores where they would get maximum exposure (christian book store, gift shops); possibly donate to special functions (auctions for charity).
Primarily getting the supplies, advertising, making sure licenses and permits are in order, and working to obtain customers. I had a gift basket business a few years ago, but didn't have enough capital to keep it going. I know how to start and run a business- I even had a website! I just lack the funds to get it going
