iPolitics (I am a part of the political process)

Inner-city youth, as well as adults, are typically excluded from the political process at the national level. Understanding how politics work and the benefits of being a part of the process is a great opportunity for this targeted group to play a key role in shaping our country.

Idea Description

iPolitics is a program designed to attract inner-city youth and adults into the political process at the grassroots level through the national (and even international) level. Through this program, the targeted group will learn about the historical significance of politics and the impact on their lives, learn about current events, networking skills, and the importance of community organizing efforts.

The hope is that these individuals will want to learn more about the legal system and how their involvement matters. Once the targeted group is fully engaged in the program, it is our hope that they also get actively involved in improving their communities, playing a role in combating crime.
