NASCAR Real-Time Race Application for Blackberry
I'd like to develop a simple application that allows Blackberry users to follow NASCAR races in real time on their Blackberries. It would be a simple graphic that auto-refreshes every 15 seconds, showing the top 10 running order or the user's favorite driver's position during a race.
Idea Description
The idea is modeled on the MLB Blackberry shortcut that allows users to watch games pitch-by-pitch at 15 second intervals in real time.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I'd contact someone at NASCAR's advanced media unit and make a big story out of it: "BRICKYARD, NOT BRICKBREAKER: Non-traditional NASCAR fan wins contest to bring NASCAR races in real time to Blackberry users"
Vote for it now.

Q1: How much of the development of such an application can be done within a budget of $10,000?
Thanks for reading. While I respect your personal views, many people do like other aspects of NASCAR. This idea is specifically directed at that underserved market. Perhaps there are other ways of serving that market that are more compatible with green causes. NASCAR is in many ways a high-speed testing ground for the latest in aerodynamics and materials science. Perhaps there could be an auto series that showcases the performance capabilities of vehicles with cleaner alternatives.
While it is a great idea I am opposed to nascar from and environmental standpoint - waste of fuel and pollution. Perhaps you could use it for other sports?
