NourishInteractive.com is devoted to helping our children become nutritionally aware. Our kids are bombarded everyday with ads promoting empty calories and high sugar foods. We want to empower children to make healthier choices. Nourishinteractive is a website that provides parents and children with a variety of tools to learn the key elements of nutrition. We designed the website so that every tool and article has a parents’ version and a child’s version. This way parents and children can work together to make nutrition a key part of their everyday lives.

What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
With the 10K, Nourish Interactive will develop a portion control interactive website game for children. The game will be designed to teach children to identify proper portion sizes for each of the food groups. Large portions are one of the key contributors to childhood obesity. By teaching children how to determine proper portions and what is a proper portion, it will strong step towards fighting childhood obesity.

What a great idea, it seems everyday there is news about childhood obesity and the health dangers for kids. Plus, all kids could benefit from this and learn to not SUPERSIZE. So many in this country are suffering from weight problems and there is lack of education on this health issue for kids and families. Nutrition education that is fun can make such a difference for kids health- I'm voting for this idea!
