Energy efficiency through solar and wind power.
This idea is to harness both wind and solar power at once. The basic idea involves focusing the sun's energy to turn a turbine and produce alternating current.
Idea Description
By focusing the sun's rays, sufficient heat to rotate a turbine may be produced. A propeller with alternately colored dark and light blades will turn due to reflection and refraction of light. This turning motion can be linked to an alternator which will produce electricity in the form of alternating current. The alternating current will then be rectified into dc current so that it may be stored in a 12 volt battery. Then an inverter will redirect the current into alternating current so that the electricity may be used by home/business appliances. The current may be increased by adding a turbine for wind power as well to harness the movement of the air when the sun is not as prevalent.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Were I to win the money I would begin producing said turbines to power homes and businesses.
Vote for it now.

Q1: I'm not sure why I would need to ask a question, but if you have any questions for me feel free to contact me at jameschristian@mail.com.
This seems like a roundabout way to harness energy. Is it really a 1+1=3 kind of thing?
