Internet - "Silent" Television Network - noaudio.tv
If you are as old as I am, you will remember turning on your stereo and having the television "on without sound". My idea is a high-tech improvement. The idea can be implemented very quickly. There would be dozens of channels from a fireplace burning, puppies, webcams, travel photographs, and videos.
Idea Description
If you are as old as I am, you will remember turning on your stereo and having the television on without sound. My idea is a high-tech improvement. The idea can be implemented very quickly. There would be dozens of channels from a fireplace burning, webcams from around the world, travel photographs, babies, pets, girls, guys, racing, sports, a weather station for your area, geometric patterns and zillions of videos of all types. The only thing is that there will be no sound. Most of the service would be free. There would be premium sites paid by subscription. Funding would be by sponsors and advertisers with a small "Split-screen". Photographers /artists would have their own chann
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I own the domain noaudio.tv. I am going to run with this idea, if I win or not. I really want to be a 51% partner. If you have the technical skills, or can help in anyway, I am looking for partners and investors now!! We'll get it going, build it up and sell it to the Big Boys such as Google. Everyone will walk away with big bucks!!
Vote for it now.

Q1: How much would a photographer, artist or craft person pay to display their work on noaudio.tv?
Probably nothing, and it would remain that way for years.
Video artists currently can use Vimeo, which is run by Google. That's really geared towards the real good artists, but not completely. There are countless video sites out there that could easily pull off what you're talking about by simply adding a "Silent TV" button, such as qik, justin.tv, 12seconds, seesmic, and many more which have large user bases already and have soaked up much of this territory.
Photographers use stock photo sites such as dreamstime, fotopia, and the Creative Commons at Flickr.
These are all very well known so it would be hard to break in on any of these areas, unless you could offer something people haven't seen yet. The main idea in business is to offer either A) something new, or B) something already done, but better. You're sort of in category A right now, but I think this is a fairly good idea that would be better developed with more thought about what problem you're trying to solve rather than just thinking about what would be cool.
