Idea Description
3-D copiers would bring a revolution in the manufacturing industry,especially in proto typing and we can reduce our dependence on countries like China where lead paint and quality is an issue. It will also bring down the cost of the product.

in '86 their was a Co. operating out of Japan that did copy objects into plastic models for $100 each. This was a great success. You could spend thousands making a machined prototype and then get copies for $100. The secret got out and "Rapid Prototyping" developed from the method they were using to copy a part. Rapid Prototyping can manufacture parts in plastic, wax, metal and ceramic from a computer 3-D drawing. It is a comerical process now.
