ONEVOICE
Our local volunteer committee is seeking to create a program called ONEVOICE - streamlined/free marketing for local organizations. Our community has many non-profit organizations and local community events - however sometimes fail to due lack of participation / lack of community awarenes.
Q1: Are there any communities out there that have accomplished this idea? We'd love to learn from exhisting programs.
Idea Description
Our community has many non-profits that offer amazing services and community events. Marketing is often the last thing on their budget list, but is often the most needed. Many programs and events have failed due to lack of participation and awareness. Another problem is that many residents in our area have no online access - making viral marketing difficult. We strive to create a program called ONEVOICE where local orgs can register to make their events known - & local businesses can volunteer to be a portal for ONEVOICE information (provided monthly - as a recap of happenings in our area). With one engine (ONEVOICE) fueling marketing efforts - we could accomplish so much more.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
To take our ideas to the next step - we need well developed imaging for our program so that ONEVOICE information will be streamlined and easily recognizable. Also we need an interactive website for local organizations to register their events and for local businesses to register as a portal for our ONEVOICE material. By tapping into these local businesses - they can help us reach the many people we would not have reached otherwise with community event dates and non-profit assistance that is available.

The investment bank would be expected invest in seed level startup projects like yours and to lose money at a specified dollar per jobs ratio for example during hard times that figure may be as high as $20,000 per job and good times the figure may be as low as five dollars per job, by controlling this ratio the fed could roughly control unemployment. The bank will be expected to fund novel products and services and stay away from things like restaurants that will simply draw jobs from other restaurants or moving factories from one part of the country to another.
