Bridging the Gap between Tourists & Residents
Every travel season brings grumbling residents. Help the tourists coming to your area understand your area's quirks! From practical tips (such as standing to the left on busy Metro escalators) to fun ones (how to order at a local favorite eatery), help each other out.
Idea Description
Every year, we hear people from every locale, both domestic and international, complaining about tourists and their irritating behavior. Help the tourists and travelers out! This website will hopefully allow residents to give practical advice to travelers, and allow travelers to read up on advice before they arrive. From what not to do, to where to go, this website will aim to be brutally honest. No dressing up by travel agents trying to drum up business!
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
* Start a website that will connect residents and tourists, both domestically and internationally
* Market the website, but through the internet only (in my desire to be more green, and my distaste for paper advertisements)
Vote for it now.

Q1: Since there are already a huge number of travel websites out there, is this idea even feasible? I personally think most travel websites are too "glossed" over, and learn the most from people's personal travel blogs, which is why I thought this website would be the best of both worlds. What do you all think?
Cool idea. There is another idea on here very similar. They have a website called www.golocaling.com You shoudl check it out. I wouldn't worry about accuracy. Wikipedia is considered more accurate than encyclopedia brittanica. Very psyched that you posted here. It's a good idea. Are there any books out there focused on travel etiquette in general? I would check those out.
Also - you should post a picture and put as many tags as you can on here - it will help your idea get noticed.
