This organization will be responsible for recruiting the Jamaican Diaspora to partner with island schools and help Scholar/Athletes realize dreams.
JA Nationals in North American cities will team up and adopt sister schools,providing scholarships,expertise and training for champion athletes
Q1: As part of the website design I would like to add a link directly to a sports equipment manufacturer where one might place an order and have it shipped directly to the adopted school ? It's a great marketing tool for the org but would it work for say Nike?
Idea Description
We are a talented and accomplished people and the time has come for us to open our hearts and give a little more. Our youth are the leaders of tomorrow and they need us now !
Most fundraising for students is done by alumni. The task at hand requires mobilizing and pooling resources to reach all schools island wide. These places of learning need more programs,more staff, additional funds, new expertise and most of all encouragement. The children are the brightest stars and we cannot afford to fail them.
I am moved by a conversation I had with my father months ago about the future of our young people, the Olympics caused me to pause and ask "If not now, then when?"
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
-Design and build a website to provide information and solicit feedback and ideas.
-Arrange a 24 city visit to meet with Jamaican civic, student, professional and sports organizations.
-Contact Recruiters and coaches to dialogue with school counselors.
-Solicit Corporations and Private Foundations for donations of books, supplies equipment and scholarships
