Hydrogen converter for car fuel
We already have hydrogen cars, seems to be the best solution to the energy crisis with no waste. Why not put a water to hydrogen converter/process onto cars to split water molecules into hydrogen expelling the oxygen to run our automobiles.

Q1: Shouldn't we be able to create this converter?
"Oxyhydrogen (aka Brown's Gas) is often mentioned in conjunction with devices that claim to operate a car using water as a fuel. Because the energy required to split water exceeds the energy recouped by burning it, these devices reduce, rather than improve fuel efficiency" -- (Wikipedia)
Would go much further on the electricity if it was used in an electric motor to drive the wheels. The electric motor is much more efficient than a hydrolyzer+internal combustion chain.
Energy must be converted from another form, must come from somewhere. If it's from electicity, in a conventional car, it ultimately comes from the gasoline that turns the crankshaft that turns the alternator.
