  Will i also worked a little with the wind idea off of traffic under bridge overpasses with another engineer. You are on the right track as my thinking.
  Cost is what i was thinking about also on the power station but some neat ideas about using compressed air from the pads might be better suited. Maybe something like simliar to the working of an old gas station bell

  I'm not sure if this is cost effective, but I like your idea. I know that building roads can be extremely expensive as it is. There is a complicated process involved due to the fact that these things have to withstand the constant beating of cars and trucks. I'm not sure it is feasible/cost effective to slip in a layer of hydraulics. Solar power would be much less expensive. Why not put windmills on the side of the road to capture the breeze of all those autos speeding by instead? It is ingenious what that farmer did. I sent your idea to my dad who is a civil engineer who spent a career building roads throught the mid-atlantic, u.s. He might be inspired to help you out. All the best.

  Good thinking the reason for putting it in works in the shipping container i believe that it can withstand the weight and durable for use and like you said easy to comeby. Another purpose is to make it easy . Cut box out of the road drop it in and wire it up to the lines over and over and over. Easy to ship-easy to place in the highway-easy to wire up! The only place i found a collective traffic energy system was about a year ago on a site that was developing wave energy and the guy was from africa or somewhere like that

  Well - first of all - if you ride up the NJ Turnpike you will see thousands and thousands of steel shipping pods - in the non-balance of trade with China we have far more of these pods coming into the country than going back to China - the result is thousands of these pods stacked up - unused - so the material is there. Not sure of ther value($$$$$???). The technology that would be used to convert the automobile motion into energy - like the cattle movement is unclear to me. But I think the idea of using these stacked pods is a good one. Iften there is an area of roads through a "soft" spot of land - they could be used to bridge this area - rather than dig out the muck and replace with fill dirt - but don't give up on the cattle moving to energy concept - I will try to look into that technology. Great idea!!!! - outside the box ( pod)
