Electronic Books for Students
In our fast paced society where information changes rapidly, textbooks are not adequate for our education system. They are outdated quickly, heavy, expensive, and kill a lot of trees. E-books with a distribution system that can be updated instantly will make a lot more sense.
Q1: What would be the best way to approach textbook companies with an idea that would be such a radical change to the way they do business?

In our fast paced society where information changes rapidly, textbooks are not adequate for our education system. They are outdated quickly, heavy, expensive, and kill a lot of trees. E-books with a distribution system that can be updated instantly will make a lot more sense.
With the introduction of E-paper which uses very little power, the falling cost of data storage, and ubiquitous wifi, All the technology is in place to manufacture a low cost device to replace all the textbooks students are required to purchase.
Traditional textbook publishers may be reluctant to publish e-books, but may eventually realize the decrease in production and distribution costs would be beneficial.
