Roll Out Transportation by H.I.P. 4 You!, Inc
Roll Out is transportation program under the direction of H.I.P. 4 You! Inc a non profit organization. The purpose of Roll Out is to provide transportation services at low cost or in some cases no cost for persons who are unable to transport their children, elderly loved ones or even Youths at risk
Q1: Although we are a nonprofit some of our services do carry a fee but only to cover the cost of expenses. Therefore one of our biggest hurdles is determining cost for service runs for our budget while including price growth for gas price fluctuation. This cost is to become a part of our 3 year growth plan. Any ideas on how to calculate especially when we are submitting budget information as part of any grant proposal?
Idea Description
Many school programs are endangered of being discontinued due to lack of participation by students.Parents/students agree that school sponsored programs offer an excellent alternative to unsupervised activities at home and a positive social outlet. However with demanding schedules of parents or conflicting activities of siblings in the same home, many activities operate at less than 60% capacity. As with school sponsored activities, community and summer activities often reinforce positive social skills while providing a safe environment for the children. Our program allows for this guidance and direction to take place by Bridging the Gap between the available programs, parents and students.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Considering the high cost of fuel,one major contributing factor for the success of the program will be investing in logistic software and communication systems. It is our first and foremost commitment to have immediate updates of pick ups and drop offs. As each child has been dropped off a phone call or voice sms will be sent to the parent. It is also equally imporatant to also perform drug screening,background checks and reviewing drivers motor vehicle reports. Any remaining funds will go to website and program literature to focus on summer and community activities.
