I have been a single mom, my daughter is now 19 and working. I KNOW the frustration of not being able to get her things she wanted, but we found a way somehow, with the things she needed.
iI think there should be more help for single moms. My frustration is with healthcare. If we had preventative healthcare coverage (we, as in the people), then we would not have the higher medical bills from waiting until we had to go and get some help...through the ER that charges us to walk through the door.

There are several articles I have seen in local urban area newspaper that instruct
people how to have a love life in this dying economy. Basically, tips on cheap and frugal dating. This could be an added concept for your idea.Are you sure you want to report as abuse?

08.04.08 | 12:03 PM* OUR ANSWER: Yes, while there are other similar places to this online, few of them focus on actually stretching ones dollar to the furthest it can go. Example: They may post a grocery sale ad. We post not just an ad, but the secret price scanning wrong items as well as which coupons to use on which sale. Another Example: They offer free items back & forth. We allow people to post yard sales (only if there are freebies at the sale) as well as local activities within ones community & free item trades.

becoming an affiliate, which, Imyself am looking into- there is alot of fluff to sift through though. Feature products with a discount, or something to make the customer want to come back (I can help with that)

Also if you can set up your program as a non profit, you could apply for and receive federal, state and private grants to assist you.

we all need help in finding bargains, which I have done all along- it takes patience, practivce and planning. Plan meals, make errands all on one day to save gas, and try to make those errands in the same vincinity

Idea Description
As a child I waited up late for my dad to arrive with hot dogs & peanuts from the baseball game he donated his time at to get this food free. He was blind and we were very poor.
As an adult, I felt that familiar humiliation, my son recieved a pair of shoes from a program for needy kids. He took off his shoes...there stood completely bare feet (instead of socks), I hadn't realized just how badly we really did need help, I was not one to ask.
My son was proud of his new shoes; he never noticed my shame as a low-income parent.
Looking back on that "miracle" of peace within, I gained strength to rise above our obstacles as best I could while helping others.

Every year, we give donations to various charities. The joy on a childs face is a true inspiration that led me to create this site which helps many other people who are in need or simply wish to be smart with their money.
