Custom Design, Hand Built Stereo & Home Theater Loudspeakers
These loudspeakers would be signature items for discerning audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts. Speakers would be designed, hand built, and tuned to the client's music and home theater interests, their listening room, and their style preference.
Idea Description
Creating custom, hand built speakers is a process that involves interviewing clients to determine their needs and wants. This is followed by building a computer model and mock-up for review. Once the prototype is agreed to, the speakers are built by hand from top quality wood and electronics. Speaker electronics are designed using sophisticated computer simulation tools and tuned to the client's listening room and their preferred sound (high fidelity, bass enhancement, etc.). Upon completion, the speakers are personally delivered and set up. Target market is (1) mid-high income individuals (2) possibly recording studios and engineers. It is more a service-based business than product-based.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
Working within the business plan, $10,000 would be put toward marketing, advertising, software, and equipment. A professional and technical website would be created, and an ad presence would be established in leading audiophile publications and websites. The money would also be put toward additional mechanical design and electrical simulation tools. Lastly, a woodworking planer, drill press, and routing table would be purchased for the shop.
Vote for it now.

Q1: What are some good ideas to establish credibility for this service and its products? Some people just won't trust it if it's not a well known brand such as Bose or Sony and the like. However, those are not direct competitors since this business is focused on a market that wants customized premium high end sound. Typical clients would be mid-high income individuals and possibly recording studios and engineers. The services and products are not targeted for the mass market.
I like your idea; I want to improve your odds of getting funding I will vote for your idea if you will vote for mine. My idea is for a web site that raises money for inventors and entrepreneurs called New Idea website Check out my idea blob submission and visit New Idea Website and see what I can do for you. http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/4060-NEW-IDEA-WEBSITE The need for jobs is one of the biggest problems that a democratic government faces because creating jobs is an unwanted byproduct of business and industry. The reason I say its unwanted is the more jobs a business creates the more its expenses are and the smaller it’s bottom-line. If business and industry have their way they would run their companies with no jobs at all no management or labor. To deal with this dilemma I pr…moreopose a federal venture capital carrot fund that literally pays entrepreneurs to create jobs. The investment bank would be expected invest in seed level startup projects like yours and to lose money at a specified dollar per jobs ratio for example during hard times that figure may be as high as $20,000 per job and good times the figure may be as low as five dollars per job, by controlling this ratio the fed could roughly control unemployment. The bank will be expected to fund novel products and services and stay away from things like restaurants that will simply draw jobs from other restaurants or moving factories from one part of the country to another. If you like this idea vote for it and send the congressional letter from the website. Sincerely Frank Scruggs
I agree - the local city magazine is one idea. Word of mouth and the website would be the highest priority.
What sort of advertising? I'd do something really local.
The target market is mostly mid to high income individuals who would be classified as "audiophiles" or "home theater enthusiasts."
This sounds expensive. What is your target market?
