Idea Description
It is a curling iron holder. It holds the curling iron by the handle in an upright postion. It is about 1,1/2 inches square. It is small enough to mount anywhere a curling iron can fit. It is made out of ABS plastic. The thing that is differnt about CurlSafe is that you can heat your curling iron in it. You can store it in it also. Hot or cold. There is nothing like it on the market. It is pat.pend. I have the mold already made. I also have a barcode for it.
What will you do if you win $10,000 for this idea?
I would improve packageing. I would have the mounting holes counter sunk on the mold. I would explore the possablity of colors. I would put some into marketing.

Marketing is going to be tough. There are some great ideas already presented. Personally, there need to be some research done to find out where your demographic is going to look. Are they going to do a websearch? I did a keyword search and close to 1200 people searched online for a curling iron holder in a single month. So, an optimized website is an inexpensive way to get some sales. You could also post it on eBay if you don't want to spend the money with a website. Another route would be to go to some local stores and see if they will put it on their shelves, this is tricky but can be VERY profitable. You could also generate some word-of-mouth by selling them to local beauty salons for cost. make sure it is clearly branded so clients will see it.
